Beef

Polish beef is one of the most nutritious meat types in terms of its nutritive composition and content of exogenous substances - those that can not be produced by our organism.

It is characterized by high content of well absorbable protein and medium fat content. It is also a source of vitamin B12, which supports muscle oxygenation and, by taking part in the process of creating red blood cells, prevents us from anemia.

In addition, it contains vitamins B1 and B6, which are involved in the synthesis of the protein necessary for building up muscles. Good quality beef is tender, juicy and tasty.

Pork

Pork meat plays a big role in Polish culinary tradition and its native breeds are highly valued in Europe. In recent years, thanks to improved quality of farming, energy value of pork decreased and, on the other hand, its nutritional value increased significantly.

Pork meat is a very good source of vitamin B1. It is also rich in complete protein, essential for body regeneration, as well as iron and other minerals.

Pork meat is tender and crispy. Its taste, smell and tenderness is influenced by the level of intramuscular fat.

It is worth buying pork from native breeds, such as "pulawska" or "zlotnicka pstra".

Grains and cereals

Cereal products - flour, grains, rice, cereals, bran, pasta and bread, form the second degree of the food pyramid, making them one of the basic product groups, after vegetables and fruits - we should consume them daily in large quantity.

The most popular types of grains cultivated in Poland are barley, avena, wheat, rye, triticale.

It is also worth buying ancient grains such as spelt, emmer wheat and einkorn. Grain products are made up mainly of complex carbohydrates, in particular of starch.
